Who This Is For

Built for people who need more than another program.

This isn't just recovery coaching — it's fitness and life coaching too. We replace old patterns with routines that actually work for your life, and turn "staying sober" into "thriving," not just surviving.

For You

You've tried other things. They didn't hold.

For people who've experienced multiple returns to use and want a program built around structured daily accountability — not another 30-day stay, not a group session, not a checklist. For someone looking to work alongside a coach with lived experience.

Just Finished Treatment

The perfect aftercare layer.

Coming out of a treatment center, rehab, or any other program? This is the next level — real daily accountability that takes your recovery, and your life, further than treatment alone can. This is where I guide you to build a new life you don't want to escape from.

For Families

Reaching out for someone you love.

If you're here because someone you love is struggling, you're not alone — and reaching out doesn't obligate anyone to anything. Every conversation starts confidentially, with you.

Sound Familiar?

You might recognize yourself here.

  • You've done treatment before — maybe more than once — and it held for a while, then didn't
  • You're successful everywhere except this one area, and it's starting to cost you more than you can afford
  • You need something that fits a real schedule and real privacy, not a 30-day disappearance
  • You're tired of check-ins that feel like a formality instead of someone actually paying attention
How We Can Work Together

Two ways to work with me.

Option 1

One-on-One Virtual Coaching

A four-month private, concierge-level coaching program — then month-to-month for as long as you want to keep building. Daily accountability checks, direct access between sessions, and one-on-one recovery coaching sessions, wherever you're located in the country.

Option 2

In-Person & Sober Companion

For clients who want me physically present — one-on-one in-person sessions, or sober companion support for travel, events, transitions out of treatment, or other high-risk situations. Availability and location-based, arranged individually.

Meet J.R. Hutter

The method behind Warrior Awakened.

I served with the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq, came home with PTSD I didn't have the tools for, and spent 15 years in South Florida nightlife using alcohol and drugs to cope. What changed wasn't a single moment — it was rebuilding, piece by piece.

I built this method from that experience, and refined it into a real, repeatable system — recovery coaching and life coaching combined. It's helped hundreds of men and women find lasting sobriety.

About J.R.

Coaching from the other side of it.

Coaching grounded in lived experience.

J.R. Hutter

I served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division, deploying to Iraq in 2003–2004. Like a lot of guys who came home from that war, I brought more back with me than I realized — undiagnosed PTSD I didn't have the tools to deal with.

I landed in South Florida and found my way into the nightlife scene, eventually spending 15 years working as a DJ. It was the perfect place to disappear. For over a decade, I used alcohol and drugs to manage what the war left behind, and what started as a way to cope became a 15-year cycle I couldn't see my way out of.

What changed wasn't a single moment — it was rebuilding, piece by piece: a new identity, new habits, a new relationship with my own mind and body, and a decision that I was done being someone who needed to escape his own life.

Today I run a private coaching practice built on everything I wish someone had offered me. I've built a method that's helped hundreds of men and women find lasting sobriety — drawn from my own struggle and recovery, refined into a real, repeatable system. It's recovery coaching and life coaching combined — because staying sober and building a life you're actually proud of go hand in hand.

This work is personal to me. I'm coaching from lived experience.

J.R. Hutter
Fifteen years in South Florida nightlife — the world I had to walk away from.

That's why consistent daily connection is at the center of everything I do. You'll hear from me directly, and if something comes up between scheduled calls, I'm a phone call or text away. I'm here every step of the way.

“I know this journey from both sides — as someone who lived it, and as a certified recovery coach.”
The Program

A concierge-level coaching engagement.

One-on-one. Fully private. Recovery, fitness, and life coaching combined — built around one outcome: you never go back. Four months to build the foundation, then month-to-month for as long as you want to keep growing.

Your Advocate, Not Just Your Coach

  • Daily touchpoints with me personally, so we catch what's working — and what's not — before it becomes a problem
  • Direct access by phone or message between sessions — when a situation comes up, you have someone in your corner
  • Case management, monitoring, and case consultations, plus connecting you to the right additional care when needed
  • Collaboration with your clinical providers and care team, and with family when appropriate
  • Drug and alcohol monitoring when needed, tailored to your situation
The Method

Built on four pillars.

I.

The Reset — Body

Personalized fitness, nutrition, and nervous-system regulation. Build strength, restore energy, and create physical routines that support your recovery and long-term wellness.

II.

The Structure — Routine

Create daily structure that supports your recovery, replacing old patterns with new, healthier routines that build consistency and momentum.

III.

The Standard — Accountability

Private one-on-one recovery coaching sessions weekly, daily accountability checks, and monitoring when needed. Real support, every day.

IV.

The Awakening — Purpose

Turn growth into action. Set meaningful goals, build momentum, and create a sense of direction and purpose that extends beyond recovery.

How It Works

Four months, four phases.

1
Month 1

Stabilize & Assess

Get grounded, build the daily structure, and set the foundation for everything that follows. Prepare to create your new identity.

2
Month 2

Rebuild Structure

Replace old patterns with healthier routines across body, mind, and daily life.

3
Month 3

Reinforce Identity

Deepen the mindset and purpose work — becoming someone who doesn’t need to escape. Regain confidence.

4
Month 4

Independence

Freedom from relying on substances, greater stability, stronger routines, and a new identity you carry forward.

What You Walk Away With

Skills, not just a stint of sobriety.

Daily Structure

A routine that supports sobriety instead of undermining it — you've built habits that you can use for a lifetime.

Tools for Hard Moments

Real strategies for triggers, cravings, and high-stress situations.

Rebuilt Identity

Confidence and self-respect that isn't dependent on substances.

A Sense of Purpose

Direction and genuine happiness, not just the absence of using.

A New You, Physically

A completely upgraded physical self — real self-love, feeling better in your own skin, and the confidence that comes with it.

Fit Check

Who this is — and isn't — for.

This is for you if —

  • You've experienced multiple returns to use following treatment
  • You want structured daily accountability, not a weekly check-in
  • Privacy is critical and confidentiality matters to you
  • You're leaving treatment and want a higher level of ongoing support
  • You're in a position where confidentiality is important, and you can't disappear for a while

This isn't the right fit if —

  • You're looking for a group program or peer community
  • You need medical detox or acute clinical care first
  • You're not ready for daily accountability and regular screenings
  • You're not ready to do the work to create the best version of yourself and aren't ready for change
For Families

Reaching out for someone you love.

If you're here because someone you love is struggling, you're not alone — and reaching out doesn't obligate anyone to anything.

Every conversation starts confidentially, with you — not with your loved one. We'll talk through the situation, what you're seeing, and what options actually make sense before anyone else is contacted.

Your privacy and theirs are both protected throughout. Nothing moves forward without you being fully informed of what happens next.

Methodology

Mind. Body. Soul.

Most people try to quit as the person they already are. That’s the hardest possible version of this, because that person still wants to use. The real work isn’t white-knuckling your way through cravings — it’s becoming someone who doesn’t want to escape in the first place.

That’s what we build together. A new identity, constructed deliberately out of daily habits, routines, standards, and the way you talk to yourself. Not a person who is fighting their addiction every day, but a person for whom drugs and alcohol simply no longer fit the life they’ve built.

This is also why we dig deep into fitness and nutrition. They aren’t a side benefit here — they’re part of the method. When your body is strong, fed, and regulated, your sleep improves, your mood levels out, your nervous system settles, and your confidence comes back. When your body is aligned, your mind follows.

You start proving to yourself, every single day, that you can do hard things and keep your word. That’s what rebuilds self-respect. And self-respect is what makes sobriety stop feeling like something you’re losing, and start feeling like something you’ve earned.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is this only a virtual program?

No. Most clients work with me through the virtual program described throughout this site, but I also offer in-person, one-on-one sessions and sober companion/transport support for clients who need me physically present — transportation to meetings and appointments, home safety assessments, travel, events, transitions out of treatment, or other hands-on recovery support. Availability is location-based and arranged individually.

How is this different from rehab or outpatient treatment?

This is private, one-on-one coaching — not clinical treatment. It's built for people who've already been through treatment and want a higher, more personal level of ongoing accountability, or who need something more intensive than a weekly session.

Is this confidential? Who will know I'm working with you?

Completely. This program is private and confidential by design — no group cohort, no shared community, no public presence tied to your name.

What happens if I return to use during the program?

We address it directly and adjust the plan together. This is exactly what the daily accountability structure is designed for — catching it early and getting back on track.

What if something comes up between our scheduled calls?

You reach out. I'm available by phone or message between our scheduled calls — you're not waiting until the next check-in when a hard moment hits. I'll always let you know my availability up front, so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you work alongside my therapist or physician?

Yes — I connect clients to the right additional care when needed and help coordinate with anyone already involved in your treatment, rather than working in isolation.

What do the accountability screenings actually involve?

Breathalyzer and drug screenings tailored to your situation — for some clients that means daily breathalyzer checks, especially early on if alcohol has been the primary issue; for others it's routine and unannounced. Delivered via a connected device or mailed kits with video-verified results, wherever you're located.

I'm reaching out about my son/daughter/spouse, not myself — how does that work?

We start with a confidential conversation with you first. Nothing moves forward with your loved one without you being fully informed of what happens next.

Is this a substitute for medical detox or clinical treatment?

No — if acute medical care is needed, that comes first. This program is the ongoing coaching and accountability layer that supports lasting sobriety after that.
